About me

From a very young age, I have always liked to paint to express myself.

Three years ago, I discovered the craft of mosaics by chance and started teaching myself. The mosaics I now create are inspired by paintings and landscapes that are dear to me as well as by the time I have spent in various countries - while I am based in Paris now, I have lived in Russia, Germany, the US and the UK.

My love for sculpture tells a similar story. I started taking classes about four years ago. Simple curiosity grew into a passion and I continue to make my own sculptures under the guidance and supervision of my sculpture teacher, Magali Nourissat, whom I am very happy to have met.

This website is an invitation to explore a selection of my art. Please feel free to reach out to me via lyudmila.artandmosaics@gmail.com if you have questions.

I also welcome commission requests, e.g. as decoration for your home or as a gift.

Please feel free to reach out to me by email and share your ideas - and let's create a personalised work of art together.

  • MosaicsEach mosaic starts with a sketch and a vision in mind, followed by hours of meticulously placing together colour and pattern to create beautiful landscapes.
  • SculpturesI create almost all my sculptures under the watchful eye of my sculpture teacher, Magali, who is always encouraging me to push boundaries and for whom nothing is impossible. Her guidance and wisdom allow me to always evolve in my techniques and the complexity of my projects.
  • PaperHand-crafted pieces using carefully sourced, hand-made paper from Japan, Korea or Spain.
  • Bas-reliefsBas-relief pieces made from plaster, using two different methods. These are inspired by various personal experiences.
